Joel`s Mexican Food in Sandpoint

To busy waited a long time for two tacos. They're great people, be good food but with not being able to go in or sit outside it was just a long wait

Great food. Eating is outside. No provisions to clean eating spots.

Joel's is just it. Super fantastic food, amazing people, and a place where a great community gathers. When you're a Sandpoint local talking about where to go for lunch, you're probably talking about Joel's. For those from out of town, if you've been to Joel's, you've been to Sandpoint.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious burritos. Great vegetarian options, if that's your thing.

Everything tastes fantastic and the portions are large. Fish tacos and all of their burritos are our "go to's" when i don't feel like cooking. Highly recommend Joels.

Breakfast Mexican egg Benedict burrito: sausage, over easy eggs, potato, cheese, and mild salsa. Place is always busy. Been here a few times and everything we’ve gotten is fresh and tastes amazing!

Great food, fair prices, and fun atmosphere. Nothing better than grabbing some fish tacos and cold soda to complete a fun day on the water. If it’s lunch time call your order in ahead to skip the line. Favorite place to eat in Sandpoint!!

We got chicken, pork, and fish tacos with an order of ceviche. I'm from Michigan and haven't been able to find good ceviche in a few years. Joel's was AMAZING!!! The tacos were a very very generous size..2 filled me up! This place was so good!

The poppers are awesome. Comes with a tangy dip that is delicious.

Joel’s Mexican is one of the best spots! When I moved away for awhile I missed it so much and it’s a treat when I came back to Idaho!! The Chorizo breakfast burritos are amazing and their fish burritos or tacos! So delicious!!!

I would love to have provided pictures but it is always so good I cant stop to take a picture. Joel’s is my favorite restaurant in Sandpoint. I want to branch out and try something new in Sandpoint but I just can’t seem to do it. My stomach is on autopilot. It’s so delicious that my wife and I come up regularly from Coeur D Alene. Great food, excellent customer service, and Joel knows his customers. Thanks Joel!

Their breakfast burritos are the only thing I have eaten and they are fantastic. Good size for the price. Friendly and courteous staff.

Absolutely fabulous Mexican food here. Firstly, the jalapeño poppers are the best I have ever had in my life. They are served with a sauce that absolutely completes them. After that, it is largely a fresh burrito place, but those burritos are good. The Mexican eggs Benedict burrito would rival any breakfast burrito you could find, and the chicken asado burrito had that fresh taste you crave in a good burrito. The only slight downside was on the chorizo burrito, as it was ultimately a little too wet and ended up a little mulchy halfway through. Prices are also more than reasonable.

I absolutely LOVE eating here!!! If you haven’t tried it it’s a must stop!! Vegetarian and vegan friendly!!! ❤️❤️ They are happy to make whatever burritos etc you want!! The only thing that could be improved is that they should ad a vegan tortilla.

Great food, definitely big enough burritos. They're open respecting people's fears really well, if you're one of those. Delicious food but due to the "beer" they seem short staffed so wait times may or may not be longer than usual. Either way every time I've been there they have nice staff and smiles.

Awesome place! New to the area and heard all about this place. We are breakfast burrito lovers and the bacon one is really really good. Prices are very good. The kids burritos are HUGE and only 2.50 that’s a steal. Will be coming back many more times. Jalapeño poppers are great too. Super nice workers

Good spot for California style Mexican food in Sandpoint. Tofu options were plentiful for the vegetarian in your group. Quick and affordable. Calling ahead will help limit the wait time, but even if you show up, it doesn’t take long. Get it to go and head to the lake on a nice day.

Great little Mexican food joint! Delicious and pretty quick. You can eat in or take out. Tip: order food at Joel's and take it to Mick Duff's beer hall. They allow outside food there and have live music.

I'm not sure who the cashier was but he was super friendly. The chorizo breakfast burrito was pretty good.

Joel's is amazing. And it's not just the food, although that speaks for itself. But it's also the staff, you're always greeted like family. I order from there all the time and every order has been perfect!

Best place in Sandpoint! If you are looking for great food and great staff this is the place to eat! Joel always exited to see you as a new customer or returning! This has become my daughter’s favorite place to eat!

I eat here near constantly! Best Burritos in the northwest! That's for sure! I always get and extra spicy California burrito. The burritos are so flavorful, and everything is fresh! I even lived in the Southwest and this might beat out a lot of places down there. I would highly recommend.

Classic, best authentic Mexican food in the PNW hands down

If you don't know....you gotta go. I've been coming to Joel's for food for over 20 years. Love them.

Just passin' through, saw a crowd, felt like Mexican, stopped for a burrito. Over $10.00 for my carnitas burrito, pico de gallo extra. As you may already know, there are as many "carnitas" burritos as there are Mexican restaurants. This one was exceptionally disappointing. Tortilla dripping oil, watery, flavorless refried beans, passable carnitas. Overpriced. Enthusiastic employees, though.

Food is fantastic! Had the beef super burrito, plenty of food and a good price. 30 minute wait time is the only downside.

Excellent flavor in these mega sized burritos. There is limited seating inside and out, but it doesn't appear to be a problem as most of their business is carryout by the locals.
